This is an introductory aerial class for those who would like a slower paced introduction into aerial. Focus will be on building strength and flexibility. Participants will work on knotted silks skills and may progress to our Level 1 Curriculum as they are ready.
*Beginners who want a faster paced class and feel comfortable jumping right into skills, should start with Silks Level 1 or Silks (mixed level)*
Learn an aerial apparatus! Choose from silks, static trapeze or hoop! Our unique level system allows participants to progress at their own pace through our curriculum. Classes will include warm-up, strengthening, new skills and endurance work with routines.
If you would like to learn tumbling, but want a slower paced introduction to acrobatics, this is the class to start with. In this class, participants will take more time on learning basic body positions, strengthening exercises, stretches and will ease into skills slowly.
*Beginners who want a faster paced class and feel comfortable jumping right into skills, should start with Level 1 Tumbling. *
This Level 1 class is perfect for those looking to learn foundational tumbling skills and build strength. Goal skills at this level include landings, front/back rolls, cartwheels, headstands, handstands and bridges. (Tumbling may also be known as acro or floor gymnastics)
Participants will work towards cartwheel variations, handstands, round-offs, fall to bridge, bridge kickovers, bridge recovery, walkovers and front handsprings. Pre-Reqs - front roll, cartwheel, kick to momentary handstand and bridge with straight arms.
Level 3 Tumbling class - Goal skills are individual and may include back handsprings, back/front tucks, aerial cartwheel or walkovers, press handstands, back extensions and more!
Pre-reqs - front/back roll, cartwheels, round-offs, front handspring
Learn the stretches to improve your splits and bridges. Our approach includes strength work and proper technique over quick progression. We recommend that participants practice their stretches at home at least 2xs/week in addition to attending this class. We recommend that those who already have 3 splits and advanced backbends sign up for 1 on 1 private lessons from the private lesson page.
Learn how to hold a handstand. Work on strength, flexibility, static handstands and walking handstands. For this class, you should be strong enough to hold a 1 minute handstand when supported by the wall and should feel comfortable kicking up to a momentary handstand. If you're not there yet, we recommend Level 1 Tumbling (intro level) to get started on handstands and other foundational skills.
Participants work through acrobalance poses at their own level in designated pairs, trios or groups. No experience is required. You can sign up with a same sized friend or different sized friend as there are balances that work for both scenarios. Single registrations aren't permitted, you must sign up with someone you wish to work on balances with.
