Aerial Silks

Aerial Silks are the fabric suspended by the ceiling.  Participants learn to climb it and wrap it around themselves to perform various poses and drops.

Our unique level system allows participants to progress at their own pace through our curriculum. Classes will include warm-up, strengthening, new skills and endurance work with routines.

Schedule

Aerial Hoop

Aerial Hoop, also known as lyra is a ring hung by the ceiling.  Participants learn how to climb into the hoop and perform various moves under, in and above the hoop.

Our unique level system allows participants to progress at their own pace through our curriculum. Classes will include warm-up, strengthening, new skills and endurance work with routines.

Schedule

Aerial Trapeze

Aerial Trapeze is a bar hanging from the ceiling.  Participants learn how to climb onto the trapeze and perform various moves under, on and using the trapeze ropes.   It is also referred to as static trapeze because the bar does not swing or fly through the air.

Performance Aerial - Specialize on Hoop or Silks or Trapeze

This program is for those with a interest in performance. In additional to skill building, participants learn performance skills like character building and routine creation.  Participants work towards solo acts the first half of the year on their apparatus of choice and collaborate with each other to create an in house June performance which may include doubles, synchro or cross disciplinary exploration. September to June commitment is required.  Children must be willing to challenge themselves physically (through strength and flexibility development) and artistically (through creative exercises).  If you're not sure about this program for your child, please contact us.

Schedule

Performance Acrobatics

This program is for those with a strong interest in performance. Participants must be willing to challenge themselves physically and artistically. Participants will work towards tumbling skills, acrobalance, handbalancing on pegs, contortion, and movement . The first half of the year will focus mainly on skill development. In the second half of the year participants will work towards acts in their preferred areas of acrobatic work for June performance. September to June commitment is required. Recommended Pre-reqs: handstands, cartwheels, roundsoffs, rolls, walkovers.

Performance Focused Aerial & Tumbling

This is a combination of both of the above programs.  If your child would love to do both aerial and acrobatics and also has an interest in performing, this program is a great option.  Participants spend half the time on their favourite aerial apparatus and half the time tumbling.  First half of the year works primarily on skill development with an informal presentation for parents.   In the second half of the year, participants continue to develop skills but also work towards routines for an in-class show for family and friends.  Participants should have experience in aerial or tumbling to join this program and should be interested in pushing themselves physically and creatively.
